What Makes Us Different

Environmentally Responsible. Waste Free. Built for Demanding Applications.

Traditional cleaning methods such as chemical cleaning, high pressure water blasting, sandblasting, grit blasting, and steam cleaning can create added waste, moisture, or cleanup requirements.

CryoKinetics dry ice cleaning technology uses small, rice sized particles of dry ice, or solid CO₂, as the primary cleaning media. Upon impact, the particles sublime, converting directly into gas and leaving only the removed surface contaminant for disposal.

This makes dry ice blasting a practical option for applications where reduced waste, less moisture, and surface protection are important. CryoKinetics' Model Delta V 1 Plus technology is designed to remove surface contaminants and coatings efficiently while expanding the capabilities of dry ice surface cleaning.

How It Works

The Technology

CryoKinetics technology uses the unique properties of solid CO₂ to deliver effective cleaning without creating a secondary waste stream. The process is designed to clean surfaces, protect equipment, and reduce the cleanup associated with many traditional methods.

1

Dry Ice Particle Creation

Small, rice sized particles of dry ice are used as the primary cleaning media.

2

High Velocity Air Delivery

Using high velocity air, the particles are directed toward the surface being cleaned.

3

Sublimation on Impact

Upon impact, the dry ice converts directly into gas, leaving no secondary waste from the cleaning media.

4

Clean Surface With Minimal Residue

Only the removed surface contaminant remains. There is no blast media to collect, no added moisture, and no chemical residue.

Dry Ice Compared to Traditional Cleaning

Water blasting may require belt removal and drying
Dry ice cleaning can allow belts to stay on the sander and be cleaned quickly
Chemical cleaning can generate hazardous waste
Dry ice cleaning creates no secondary waste from the cleaning media
Sandblasting may damage sensitive substrates
Dry ice blasting can clean many surfaces without abrasive media damage
Water blasting can use significant water per belt
Dry ice cleaning reduces water use and related cleanup
Traditional methods may require production shutdowns
Some dry ice cleaning applications can be completed with less downtime
Frequent belt changes can increase waste and cost
Dry ice belt cleaning may help extend belt life and reduce replacement costs
Industries Served

Applications Across Industry

CryoKinetics dry ice blasting and cleaning systems are used across a wide range of demanding industries. From restoration and remediation to precision industrial cleaning, our technology helps remove buildup, residue, coatings, and contaminants while reducing secondary waste.

Fire Restoration

Dry ice is an effective cleaning medium for surfaces affected by fire and smoke. CryoKinetics dry ice blasting technology can help clean wood, concrete, brick, stone, and masonry surfaces while also supporting smoke odor removal.

Mold Remediation

CryoKinetics provides dry ice blasting solutions for challenging mold remediation applications. Because the process does not introduce moisture, it offers an important advantage over many wet cleaning methods.

Woodworking Industry

CryoKinetics abrasive belt cleaning technology helps furniture manufacturers, mills, and woodworking operations extend abrasive belt life and reduce replacement costs. The technology can also support cleaning for saw blades, CNC tooling, and pitch buildup.

General Industrial

CryoKinetics systems can be used to clean conveyors, printing presses, road paving equipment, industrial machinery, graffiti, and other surface contaminants across a range of industrial environments.

Electrical Cleaning

Dry ice blasting can be used to clean electrical components, motor windings, motor housings, controls, and electronics without conductive cleaning media or secondary waste.

Food Processing

Dry ice cleaning can support food processing and preparation environments where reduced moisture, reduced residue, and less downtime are important. Automated systems may be used in select production settings at normal processing temperatures.
